It’s pretty common to find grass growing in the gutters cleaning, but to pull out 20 onions growing in one gutter and a prickly pear growing in another gutter was quite a surprise. These plants had a huge root system growing down the down pipe.
There is no way that these gutters could be working at all. Water could not be captured in the gutters and could not flow down the down pipe. This means that the water could either cascade over the gutters and on to the ground, or over the back and into the eaves.
